Hi im Mark and this is my site

I am Software Tester based in Victoria, Australia.
I have almost 10 years of experience working in the IT Industry across the Retail, Telecommunications, Petroleum and Educational Sectors.
I have worked in a range of roles including IT Support Technician, Data Analyst, IT Operations/Infrastructure Engineer, Scrum Master and Test Analyst
I also dabble in Web Development and Programming in C#

Experience

Quality Assurance

I am a Qualified Software Tester with over 4 years experience in Quality Assurance in the E-Commerce, Retail and Education Sectors. I have been responsible for Quality Assurance across a number of areas including Ecommerce Websites, Internal Company Websites and Blogs, Charity Websites and Mobile Applications. As part of working in the Ecommerce space i have worked in Agile and Waterfall Development along with working with the SAFE Development Framework. I have experience across the Entire Software Testing Life Cycle including Requirements Analysis, Test Planning, Test Execution and Reporting.

Programming

While my main skills lie in Quality Assurance, I also enjoy programming in my free time.
I have experience in Front End Web Development in HTML, CSS and Javascript as well as Souce Control Using GIT. Additionally ive performed Automation Testing for Web Applications, particularly in BDD Testing in Python and Java as well as Unit Testing using C# and NUnit. In my spare time i enjoy writing small applications and Games in C# using Unity.

IT Operations

I have almost 5 years experience working in IT Operations and Infrastructure. I provided Maintenance and Support for IT Hardware and Software Platforms across a Global Retail Business along with Application Support for online services including SSL Certificate Management and Website Hosting. I also configured Monitoring, Automated Alerts and Reporting for Servers, Network Hardware, Application Software and Websites using both Automated Tests and Monitoring Software such as Dynatrace and Solarwinds.

IT Support

I have extensive experience working as in IT Support both as an IT Helpdesk Technician and Desktop Support Specialist.
I managed Incidents and Requests from a variety of clients from public users, staff and Managers via Incident Management Tools such as Jira and OnTime. I provided support to users via online services, over the phone and on-site resolving issues and requests for a range of IT Hardware and Software This included Servers, Desktop PCs, Laptops, Mobile Devices, Phones and Printers along with providing support for Website issues. I specialised in writing documentatation and training for new staff.
